Backdoor Sunrise 1

I have done a few small back door sunrise paintings. I sometimes notice (before my coffee!) the miracle happening in the sky when I am letting my dog out in the morning. I did 3 larger versions of the 6x6" paintings on 16x16" canvas. I thought I needed some larger paintings for drama at the art show I was recently in.

Post Riverdale Art Walk

The Riverdale Art Walk turned out to be a wonderful success. I sold quite a few of my small paintings, and got a lot of very positive comments. I was nervous as a long tale cat in a room full of rocking chairs in the days leading up to this, my first large juried show, but now that I am an old hand at it, bring on more!! I have applied to some other shows, so wish me luck!

Marshall

This beautiful boy is Marshall, one of the dogs that I walk daily. He is a Visla and is one and a half years old. True to his breed he is highly energetic, very sweet natured and getting him to hold still for a nano second to photograph him was quite a feat!

The portrait was commissioned as a gift by my client.

Riverdale Art Walk

I haven't been posting lately because I have been focusing on painting for the Riverdale Art Walk which I will be in. It takes place June 5th and 6th at Jimmie Simpson Park in east Toronto.
