This beautiful boy is Marshall, one of the dogs that I walk daily. He is a Visla and is one and a half years old. True to his breed he is highly energetic, very sweet natured and getting him to hold still for a nano second to photograph him was quite a feat!
The portrait was commissioned as a gift by my client.

Viszla's are indeed one of the sweetest dogs. They are also gorgeous and one of the few breeds recognized by NAVHDA (North American Hunting Dog Association). I love the breed myself! (I believe it is a breed native to Hungary.) Your painting, Catherine, is phenomenal. Judging by Marshall's stance, I am wondering if his family shows him in the conformation ring?
