I am an artist working in oils (for now). I make studies of the qualities light using various subjects that interest me, especially animals, landscapes and still lifes. Art is a lifetime journey.

Streets of San Fransisco
My submission to the biweekly painters challenge called Different Strokes From Different Folks hosted by artist Karin Jurick. Check out all the others at the above link. It's amazing to see how differently everyone has handled this.
I am a self taught artist, having a background as a sign painter and taken a number of courses in fine art in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and in Toronto. In fall 2007, I participated in a workshop given by the wonderful equine artist, Valerie Hinz.
My favorite subjects are horses and other animals, but also landscapes and still life. I am facinated by light and colour.
