I am an artist working in oils (for now). I make studies of the qualities light using various subjects that interest me, especially animals, landscapes and still lifes. Art is a lifetime journey.

Ferris Wheel
I took my niece to the Caledon Spring Fair, which was quite old fashioned and we really enjoyed it. There was a draft horse show, a country band, a home made baked goods auction, antique farm machinery, and of course a ferris wheel.
I am a self taught artist, having a background as a sign painter and taken a number of courses in fine art in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and in Toronto. In fall 2007, I participated in a workshop given by the wonderful equine artist, Valerie Hinz.
My favorite subjects are horses and other animals, but also landscapes and still life. I am facinated by light and colour.
