I am an artist working in oils (for now). I make studies of the qualities light using various subjects that interest me, especially animals, landscapes and still lifes. Art is a lifetime journey.

An Alabama Cow
This is another submission to the weekly painters challenge called Different Strokes From Different Folks hosted by artist Karin Jurick. I love doing this and looking at all the wonderful interpretations of the challenge. We all see so differently.
I am a self taught artist, having a background as a sign painter and taken a number of courses in fine art in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and in Toronto. In fall 2007, I participated in a workshop given by the wonderful equine artist, Valerie Hinz.
My favorite subjects are horses and other animals, but also landscapes and still life. I am facinated by light and colour.

Nice bovine:)
Do a donkey, please?
I love the leaf, too. Great eye, Catherine.
Well, when else do I get to talk to you??
